Tony Adams

The streets ain’t what they used to be, and for Tony, a chief detective of the cold, dark, white and black colored streets of Louisville, every day just gets worse and worse. It seems to Tony that violence just oozes out of every corner of the place, but he won’t give up that easily. Tony would be cooped up in his office, day in and day out, dealing with all the usual ruckus. Until one day, a young man with tired, sunken eyes and a consistent nerve barely keeping him awake, tumbled into Tony’s office, “Excuse me” he said, barely uttering the words from his lips, “Are you… Tony?”. Tony nodded, cigarette in mouth, with a concerned look on his face as someone just barged in to his office. With that, the man collapsed on the ground.

“My name is Siva,” he said wearily and took a drink of water, “I need help, do you know who Joe Shmoe is?” Tony froze. Joe Shmoe has been terrorizing Louisville by running an underground illegal candy ring, exotic imports from all over the world that are made from uncertified goods. Good people get caught up into this, some people do it for the rush, some do it to escape their harsh reality, and some do it to be free. “I used to be a big head goon of him, but he went too far… I can’t let him run rampant anymore. I will help you take him down if I am free of any charges from this event.” Siva proposed, much clearer and more poised, as if it was rehearsed.

“I’ll take you up on your deal, I do have one question: why did you come into my office falling onto the floor.”

“I don’t do well with stairs.”

The two of them became good colleagues, using Siva’s knowledge of Joe Shmoe’s whereabouts and Tony’s detective skills, the two of them were able to bring down the ring of criminal candy activities. And their frienship only grew stronger.

“Hey Tony,” Siva asked, “you’ve got a good voice right? Why don’t you join the CU Buffoons, CU’s oldest accappella group with me?”
“Why not? I bet they could use my detective skills, singing surely requires that.”

And thus, Tony joined the CU Buffoons, blessing us with his great singing voice and wonderful vibes!
