Brandon Perez

In what appeared to be a flash of light, a great knight of shining armor appeared in front of the Buffoons one night in the fall of 2024. Who could it be? Where did this majestic knight come from?? How is this even possible?! The knight responded, his voice echoing through the University Memorial Center arches, “I am the great Brandoneous Perenicus, hailing from the land of Massachusetts. What say ye??” The Buffoons were quaking in their boots from this mighty presence. It seemed as though this knight was transported from the eighteenth century directly to CU Boulder’s oldest a cappella group! One brave soul piped up and asked, “I don’t know what divine mission you have o knight, but can you sing?” It was from then on that the great knight Brandoneous Perenicus became the newest addition to the CU Buffoons.

We called him Brandon for short, and marked him down as a Junior in Computer Science so he wouldn’t take our lives like the countless enemies he had probably slain in battle. He then assumed his post among the Tenor 2’s, singing with such soul and passion. It was in December when the great knight finally proclaimed his mission. “I must trek on to the land of Appleopolis to return to my homeland and acquire much gold!” We missed Brandoneous dearly last spring and awaited the day of his return.

It wasn’t until a summer grill out that we saw the gleam of shining armor approaching from afar. He had conquered the homeland once more, acquired much gold, and most importantly was here to stay! From all of us, we say welcome back Brandon, and three cheers for your vigorous vocal pursuits.
